Our Role: Visual Identity, Prints & Website
Challenge: Maroto is the restaurant inside Independente Comporta, in Comporta. The space needed a brand identity with the character and confidence of the location: relaxed but distinctive, rooted in the Portuguese landscape without being obvious about it.
Solution: The wordmark is built on a harmonious, rhythmic serif typography, reworked in small details to create a fully proprietary result. Classical or modern depending on the context and timeless either way. The visual system is based on the transformation and layering of images of sea, land, light and food into illustrated pieces with an artistic quality that gives the brand a loose, creative and effortless feel. The identity was applied across print materials and a dedicated website.
